Heart of Service Monthly Award
Each month Team Members from every operation will anonymously cast a vote for a Team Member going Above and Beyond. Reasons for nomination can be feedback from Patients, Teammates or Hospices; observation of how a Teammate carries themselves during the day. Does the Teammate exemplify the spirit we wish to portray to our Hospice Clients? Regardless of what the reason for submission, nominees must be submitted in writing. It is imperative that the submissions give a detailed description of why the Teammate is being submitted. Remember, the committee can only go by what is submitted in writing when they vote. Help the committee see what you see in this candidate. The local Branch Manager will tally the votes and make the final recommendation for his or her branch in the respective divisions and send off to their Director of Operation. The Directors will then read the recommendations and come up with a Top 3 in each division to present to Senior Management. Senior Management will decide the winners of each category each month. The Heart of Service winners will be given $100 and qualify for the Heart of Excellence Quarterly Award.

Heart of Excellence Quarterly Award
The Heart of Service award winners in each division will be the only team members qualified for the Heart of Excellence Award. Directors will announce the eligible Team Members and discuss their current performance with the local Branch Manager. The Directors will select three candidates per division to recommend to Senior Management. Senior Management will discuss a few scenarios with each candidate and make their decision accordingly for the Heart of Excellence Award. The Heart of Excellence winners will receive $500 and qualify for the Heart of Hospice Annual Award.

Heart of Hospice Annual Award
The Heart of Excellence award winners in each division will be the only team members qualified for the annual Heart of Hospice Award. Each Heart of Excellence Award winner in each division will be interviewed by Directors and will also be required to write a short essay on what the Heart of Hospice means to them. Directors will make final recommendations to Senior Management for final decision. One Heart of Hospice Award will be given per division. The winners will receive the following:
  • $2000 Cash OR All Expensed Paid Vacation for 2 to Mexico
  • All Expensed paid trip to Dallas/Fort Worth to spend two days at Corporate Office. While on their visit they will see all the sites of DFW, enjoy an award dinner with the Management Team, and will relax to enjoy their victory. Since this is the First Annual Heart of Hospice Award, the winners will automatically be inducted into the Heart of Hospice Hall of Fame.
  • The four winners will also serve on the 2012 Team Advisory Committee. This committee will be the voice of all of their Teammates in National HME. They will review and discuss employee recognition s, issues, etc:

  • New Recognitions
  • Overall NHME Morale
  • Outreach/Philanthropic
  • Much Much More!
